Richmond, Va. — March 3, 2022 During the Virginia General Assembly today, Del. John McGuire (R-56th District) introduced Henrico County small business owners Jay Atkinson and Laurie Head to the Virginia House of Delegates. Speaking on the floor of the House Chamber, McGuire noted that their 29-year-old IT modernization services business, AIS Network, has provided a decade of continuous IT leadership to Commonwealth of Virginia executive agencies and other public entities.

In August of last year, AISN was listed on the 2021 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing companies. The business employs staff across the commonwealth, intentionally keeping jobs and tax dollars in Virginia. Atkinson and Head, who lives in McGuire’s district, are both Lead Virginia graduates who actively serve on boards and with various organizations in the Richmond community.

“Since 1993, AIS Network has been modernizing complex IT infrastructure and managing digital risk for customers in North America. This year, AISN celebrates its 10th anniversary supporting Virginia’s executive agencies’ IT modernization initiatives,” McGuire said in his remarks.

“From strategy, to implementation to support, AISN has helped agencies achieve improved citizen engagement through new or enhanced award-winning websites, complex IT infrastructure architecture and management, and optimized cybersecurity and risk management for today’s challenging environment. The AISN team is also responsible for creating and managing the security policies that allow more than 60,000 state employees here in Virginia to access their email and many of the applications and services that they use to do their daily work. “
