Virginia School Report Card Wins Two NSPRA Awards
Summary: Virginia eGov solutions provider AIS Network has announced that the Virginia School Quality Profiles, a public state school report card website that it developed for the Virginia Department of Education, recently won two NSPRA awards.
Richmond, Va. — July 12, 2017 — AIS Network, the premier eGov solutions provider for the Commonwealth of Virginia, announced that its client, the Virginia Department of Education, has been recognized with two achievement awards for its School Quality Profiles public website from the National School Public Relations Association. AISN developed the state school report card site.
The NSPRA awards are the second and third recognitions for the School Quality Profiles. In May, the Richmond Technology Council — also known as RVATech — presented its public sector “Innovation in Utilization” award to the Virginia Department of Education for the reports. The award recognizes the creative use of existing technology for the benefit of an organization or the public.
NSPRA provides school communication training and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and U.S. Dependent Schools around the world. The association recognized VDOE’s School Quality Profiles interactive website with the following two awards:

• Award of Merit for publications and electronic media
“The School Quality Profiles have brought a new level of transparency to public education in the commonwealth,” Superintendent of Public Instruction Steven R. Staples said in a VDOE press release. “I thank NSPRA for recognizing the efforts of department communications and information management staff to create a resource that informs parents and communities and encourages continuous improvement for all schools.”
School Quality Profiles is an online data tool that communicates to millions of parents and the public about the status and achievements of Virginia’s more than 1,800 public schools.
