AISN Names Oran Dillon Principal Cybersecurity Engineer

Summary: AIS Network, a leading SWaM-certified provider of advanced information security and IT managed services to Virginia government agencies and large enterprises in the private sector, has named Oran Dillon as principal cybersecurity engineer.

Richmond, Va. — September 11, 2019 AIS Network, a leading SWaM-certified provider of advanced information security and other IT managed services to Virginia government agencies and large enterprises in the private sector, is pleased to announce the appointment of Oran Dillon as principal cybersecurity engineer.

“Oran provides expertise in information security both in terms of security governance and cybersecurity engineering application, a rare combination. He is a respected leader who has considerable depth and breadth across multiple industries,” said AISN COO Eddie McAndrew.

“For example, he recently developed and implemented a ‘defense in depth’ security architecture at a large healthcare provider that was being acquired. The organization acquiring the provider wanted assurance that the provider could not only meet HIPAA compliance but also wanted to use the demonstrated security capability as a competitive advantage. Oran has successfully implemented information security standards aligned with industry best practices in both the public and private sectors, including developing business continuity and IT disaster recovery plans, cybersecurity assessments for critical digital assets within a nuclear power generation facility, vulnerability assessments for an industrial electric and automation manufacturer – all with complete client satisfaction.”

Dillon will be responsible for managing the growth of AISN’s governance, risk management and compliance consulting practice under McAndrew. He will also lead management for certain key projects and expand AISN’s cybersecurity capabilities.

Dillon is an information security leader with more than three decades of expertise in the IT industry, including 20 years of experience in networking and 18 years of experience in information security. He formerly held top secret clearance and was most recently the global cybersecurity leader for NEORIS of Miami, a digital business transformation accelerator, where he led the development, management and go-to-market strategy of all cybersecurity services in the NEORIS US portfolio.

Prior to that, Dillon spent four years at Impact Makers in Richmond as the firm’s senior consultant for information security and risk management, where he focused on multiple roles for private and public sector clients, including that of fractional information security officer. Earlier security and compliance officer roles were for the Fort Lee, Va.-based Defense Commissary Agency and Harris IT Services. His enterprise networking career included positions at Jewelry Television, Circuit City Stores and IBM.

Dillon earned a Master of Science in Information Security and Assurance from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College. Certified Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), GIAC System and Network Auditor (GSNA), EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (C|EH) and EC-Council Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI) are among the certificates Dillon holds, while continuing to pursue additional credentials.
