Virginia School Quality Profiles Site Wins Regional Award

Summary: Virginia eGov solutions provider AIS Network has announced that the Virginia School Quality Profiles, a public website that it developed for the Virginia Department of Education, has won its first major regional technology award.

Richmond, Va. — May 11, 2017AIS Network, the premier eGov solutions provider for the Commonwealth of Virginia, announced today that its client, the Virginia Department of Education, has been awarded the Richmond Technology Council’s “Innovation in Utilization Award,” public project category, for its Virginia School Quality Profiles state report card. AISN worked closely with the department to develop and host the website, which launched last fall. The annual award recognizes the creative use of existing technology to enhance processes, methodologies and/or services for the benefit of an organization or the public.

At the Council’s 22nd Annual Technology Awards Gala in Richmond last night, VDOE Director of Communications Charles Pyle accepted the award on behalf of the department, which was also a finalist in the public project category for the “Innovation in Development Award” — again, for development of the state report card project. This is the first major award for the School Quality Profiles, an online data tool that communicates to millions of parents and the public about the status and achievements of Virginia’s more than 1,800 public schools.

The Richmond Technology Council is central Virginia’s “catalyst for technology,” and the gala for the region’s technology community celebrates the many breakthroughs, advancements and outstanding technologists who are driving the area’s technology-based economy. Award finalists in 11 categories included multiple organizations and individuals who are actively helping advance central Virginia’s technology based economy.

Since 2012, AISN has been the premier provider of eGov services and solutions to the Commonwealth of Virginia, supporting dozens of state agencies and other public entities with application development, support, security and high compliance cloud hosting. AISN’s three Virginia contract vehicles make Virginia government IT purchasing a one-stop shop. They are the CAI Virginia IT Contingent Labor Contract Statement of Work (SOW) – Application Development, VA-120416-AISN Hosting Services, and VA-120413-BPI Web Applications Maintenance and Operations. Executive branch agencies, counties, cities, towns, schools and all other public entities throughout the Commonwealth can use AISN as a one-stop shop to build, host, operate and maintain their mission-critical applications, websites, portals, databases and more.
