Richmond, Va. — December 4, 2017 — AIS Network, an award-winning application developer and secure managed IT services expert serving large enterprises in the government, education and health care industries, international corporations and The Commonwealth of Virginia, announces its participation in the 2017 Virginia Society for Technology in Education Conference, “Super Empowering Kids & Learning,” today and tomorrow in Roanoke, Va.
This conference features three days of presentations, hands-on sessions, and networking opportunities. In the exhibit hall, the more than 800 attendees from Virginia’s school system can collect information on innovative technology and state-of-the-art opportunities for education.
AISN marketing communications chief Laurie Head, will be available to meet with attendees at the VSTE conference and demonstrate AISN’s security and hosting capabilities as well as its award-winning website development work for the Virginia Department of Education.
AISN and VDOE leveraged a full suite of current technology products to update and re-engineer a signature initiative for school transparency and accountability. Users from parents to policy makers can now easily view and compare the performance of Virginia schools via a responsive, accessible website displaying dashboards of current data. The new Virginia School Quality Profiles online school report card replaces the agency’s 90’s-era School Performance Report Cards, which provided static PDFs and Excel spreadsheets.
“The VDOE School Quality Profiles website sets the ‘gold standard’ for state school report cards,” said AISN CEO Jay Atkinson. “We are looking forward to introducing VSTE conference attendees to VDOE’s School Quality Profiles and showcasing the variety of ways in which we can help Virginia schools save money on their information technology spend, particularly in the areas of security, hosting and development.”
The VSTE conference will be held at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Roanoke, Va.
