AISN Names Eddie McAndrew Chief Operating Officer

Richmond, Va. — February 18, 2019 — AIS Network, a leading, SWaM-certified provider of advanced information security and other IT managed services to Virginia government agencies, is pleased to announce the appointment of Eddie McAndrew as chief operating officer.

McAndrew will be responsible for managing internal and external operations, including managing the operations and Active Directory teams as well as all application development, contracts, and audit compliance. He will also lead project management for certain key projects, helping AISN expand its cybersecurity capabilities, and will be instrumental in building the new Governance, Risk and Compliance consulting practice.

McAndrew is an IT professional with more than 25 years of information technology and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) consulting experience in the public and private sectors. Most recently, he was with the Richmond-based Impact Makers, where he spent more than four years solving government agencies’ most complex risk management problems and as a lead in the public sector GRC consulting practice. His GRC experience includes transformation of the security programs in large healthcare and state government organizations. McAndrew has led large scale efforts for many of the world’s most successful companies, including IBM, Northrop Grumman and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

McAndrew earned a Master of Science in Information Systems, Finance and Network Architecture, from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, from the University of Texas at Austin. His postgraduate work includes a Masters Certificate of Project Management from George Washington University as well as certification in ITIL Fundamentals. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) are among other certificates McAndrew holds.
