On Oct. 1, a gubernatorial proclamation recognizing NCSAM cited Virginia’s role as a national leader in digital systems and cybersecurity. Gov. Northam noted that “strict security standards and measures for state government have been established, and are in place to protect the valuable and sensitive information entrusted to the state government by citizens, businesses and organizations….”
